Heidi is a Nationally Certified Music Teacher who began her formal musical training in Sacramento, California, at the age of eight, with Lillian Crockett. She earned a B.A. in Piano Performance with honors from Seattle Pacific University, where she was recipient of the Bertha Gilbertson Music Scholarship. During this time, she studied with Dr. Robert Swan, Dr. Wayne Johnson, and Dr. Myrna Capp.
In addition to piano performance and education, her experience includes harpsichord, organ, conducting, international music, group piano teaching, music theory, and music history. Heidi currently studies piano repertoire with Dr. Walden Hughes, music professor at Northwest Nazarene University.
She serves on the executive board of the Idaho Music Teachers Association as the Secretary and the Membership Chair, and is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Nampa Musicale. She presented at the 2005 MTNA National Conference and the 2006 Idaho MTA State Conference. Heidi is an organist at Epworth Chapel on the Green in Boise.
